Samsung is preparing to announce the Galaxy S9 in February and put it on sale in March 2018

Samsung is preparing to announce the Galaxy S9 in February and put it on sale in March 2018

The first rumors said that Samsung would overtake everyone and launch the Galaxy S9 during the CES in Las Vegas, something that sounded a bit difficult knowing the strategy of the Koreans in recent years. Today comes new information that sounds a bit more credible, plus it comes from Mark Gurman who seems to have signed a new informant within Samsung.

The information tells us that Samsung would be looking forward one month to its traditional launch window to let us know its new high range. That is, the Galaxy S9 would be released at the end of February to go on sale during March 2018.
An update to catch up
In that what both Gurman and Evan Blass do coincide is that the Galaxy S9 will be an iterative update , which means that we will see the same design of the Galaxy S8 with improvements in processor, camera and the premiere of Bixby 2.0 , which will also come with the supposed “smart” speaker that Koreans prepare for next year.

According to the information, the Galaxy S9 will arrive with the configuration of double camera that will inherit from the Note 8 , in addition to that it will preserve the sensor of footprint in the back part but now placed underneath the lens to avoid confusions. It will be among the first, if not the first one, to release the Snapdragon 845 , as well as the classic version with Exynos.
It is said that the Galaxy S9 will keep the screen ‘Infinity Display’ with panel Super AMOLED of 5.8 and 6.2 inches, respectively for the S9 and S9 +, while the RAM would increase to 6GB in the larger and 4GB for the 5.8 inches. The 3.5 mm jack for hearing aids would stay in this new version and we would see a double stereo speaker signed by AKG.

The tentative date for the launch event is February 27, 2018 , it is unknown if it would be done in the framework of MWC 2018 or in an Unpacked event in another country. And it is said that the new Samsung Galaxy S9 would go on sale during the second or third week of March.
