Vivo X20 and X20 Plus to be the next X series phones from Vivo

A smartphone dubbed as Vivo X20 has been hitting the headlines lately. Recently, it was spotted in leaked Football World Cup 2018 posters.


The main interest is focused on the smartphone's bezel-less, full-screen design. Now, a China-based publication called news.sina.com has come up with the entire specs sheet of the alleged Vivo X20. In addition, the site has shed some lights on the X20's Plus variant. Earlier reports had also suggested Vivo plans to launch both X20 and X20 Plus. Let's find out what are the differences between these two.

Interestingly, the next Vivo X series phone is rumored to be launched with an on-screen fingerprint scanner. Coming to the specifications, Vivo X20 could sport either 5.5 inch or 5.7 inch QuadHD display.

As per a Geekbench listing, Vivo X11 (which now should be named Vivo X20) will be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 660 processor clocked at 1.84 GHz paired with 4GB RAM.  The phone is rumored to be shipped with Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box.

Although, there’s no official confirmation from Vivo, we can make a safe guess that Vivo X20 and X20 Plus could be released in November this year.

Jio feature phone pre-booking suspended on high demand

Reliance Industries has suspended the pre-booking of its newly launched 4G VoLTE feature phone, JioPhone, till further notice after demand for the device far exceeded the target of making available 5 million phones a week. “The customers can, however, register their details but we are not taking any pre-booking as of now,” said a person familiar with the matter. A message on Jio’s website – uploaded on Sunday – reads that the customers will be informed when the company resumes pre-booking. RIL and Reliance Jio Infocomm didn’t respond to an email seeking comment. The Mukesh Ambani-led firm had also offered customers the option of booking the device through the offline channels through Jio retailers and multi-brand device retailers, including the Reliance Digital stores network.
