Telenor partners with Airtel for intra-circle roaming arrangement

Telenor India announced that is has signed intra-circle roaming arrangement with Airtel in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana (AP & TS).

The new arrangement will allow Telenor subscribers to enjoy 3G services and a wider coverage of 4G services and high-speed Internet while on roaming within the state.

Speaking on the occasion, Shrinath Kotian, Circle Business Head - Andhra Pradesh & Telangana, Telenor India said, "As a customer centric company we understand the need to provide a good network presence and connect our customers' with sabse sasta products."

Kotian said, "All they need is to have a 3G or 4G enabled a phone to experience high-speed data all over AP & TS. With this new initiative, we will strengthen our voice and data coverage and ensure customer satisfaction while they are roaming within the state." 

Telenor India has been offering 2G data and 4G services through LTE technology across 13 towns in the said circles. However, with this new arrangement, Telenor customers will now get access to a wider network coverage and affordable high-speed data across 14,254 additional towns and villages in AP and TS. 

The company said that to avail state-wide coverage customers need to have a 3G/4G enabled handset, Telenor 4G SIM for 4G speed and a regular 2G SIM for 3G speed. Customers can now enjoy better voice quality and coverage along with high-speed internet services with this affordable STVs. The tariff vouchers range between Rs. 9 and Rs. 349 and offer up to 28 GB of data every month. Rs 28 pack is one of the most affordable in the market with 200 MB of data for 7 days.

Customers in AP and TS can check more details and avail the new tariff plans at the nearest Telenor retailer and Telenor store. Telenor has over 299 distributors, 222 exclusive stores and 47000 Point of Sale and serves nearly 3.8 million customers in the AP and TS circle.

LG Q6+ with FullVision display coming soon to India

After the launch of the LG Q6 in India, the company is likely to be all set to release the upgraded variant - the LG Q6+ in the country in early September. Jio feature phone pre-booking suspended on high demand

Reliance Industries has suspended the pre-booking of its newly launched 4G VoLTE feature phone, JioPhone, till further notice after demand for the device far exceeded the target of making available 5 million phones a week. “The customers can, however, register their details but we are not taking any pre-booking as of now,” said a person familiar with the matter. A message on Jio’s website – uploaded on Sunday – reads that the customers will be informed when the company resumes pre-booking. RIL and Reliance Jio Infocomm didn’t respond to an email seeking comment. The Mukesh Ambani-led firm had also offered customers the option of booking the device through the offline channels through Jio retailers and multi-brand device retailers, including the Reliance Digital stores network.
