How to avail Jio 50 GB offer on LG Q6/Q6+

Earlier this week, we reported that the LG Q6+ could be coming soon to the Indian market. Notably, the LG Q6 has already been launched in India at Rs. 14,999.

As we await the release of the LG Q6+ in the Indian market, it looks like there is an interesting offer for those who are interested in buying the two smartphones. According to a recent tweet by Reliance Jio and the company's website, Jio will offer up to 50GB of additional 4G data that is split into 5GB 4G data per month on recharging for Rs. 309 or above for 10 months. Notably, this offer is applicable between August 29, 2016 and June 30, 2018.

In order to redeem the additional Jio data, you need to follow the steps given below.

  • Open the MyJio app. 
  • Go to the 'My Vouchers' section from the Menu. 
  • In the 'Additional Data Vouchers' section, click on 'View' and then 'Recharge' to redeem the voucher. 
  • Hit the 'Recharge' button at the bottom. 
  • You will receive a confirmation regarding the successful redemption of the voucher.
Both the LG Q6 and Q6+ come with almost similar specifications. The difference is that the Q6 features 3GB RAM and 32GB storage whereas the Q6+ comes with 4GB RAM And 64GB storage. Otherwise, both the smartphones sport a 5.5-inch FHD+ FullVision display with 2160x1080 pixel resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphones are MIL-STD 810G certified and make use of an octa-core Snapdragon 435 SoC. There is support for expandable storage up to 2TB.

Running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS, the LG Q6 and Q6+ are topped with the LG UX 6.0 interface. There is a 3000mAh battery in these smartphones. The imaging aspects comprise of a 13MP main camera at the rear with LED flash and a 5MP selfie camera with a 100-degree wide-angle lens. The connectivity features are pretty standard including 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS, USB OTG and 3.5mm audio jack.

LG Q6+ with FullVision display coming soon to India

After the launch of the LG Q6 in India, the company is likely to be all set to release the upgraded variant - the LG Q6+ in the country in early September. According to the information revealed by the Mumbai-based offline retailer Mahesh Telecom's Twitter handle, the LG Q6+ is all set to be made available offline in the first week of September. While there is no word on the exact pricing information of the device, it is expected to cost below Rs. 18,000. Jio feature phone pre-booking suspended on high demand

Reliance Industries has suspended the pre-booking of its newly launched 4G VoLTE feature phone, JioPhone, till further notice after demand for the device far exceeded the target of making available 5 million phones a week. “The customers can, however, register their details but we are not taking any pre-booking as of now,” said a person familiar with the matter. A message on Jio’s website – uploaded on Sunday – reads that the customers will be informed when the company resumes pre-booking. RIL and Reliance Jio Infocomm didn’t respond to an email seeking comment. The Mukesh Ambani-led firm had also offered customers the option of booking the device through the offline channels through Jio retailers and multi-brand device retailers, including the Reliance Digital stores network.
